It has been an incredible honor and privilege to be able to contribute to the art community through the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and to be recognized for my work for five consecutive years. From my initial National Gold Medal Award win for the Whimsy of Wonderland Bag in 2009, I have explored various expressions of art through fashion, sculptural forms, and even film.

Lorena has always experimented with a wide variety of techniques for her art: upcycling materials, oil painting, textiles, mixed media, and even film. She has been recognized by the National Scholarstic Artists and Writers Awards and her work has been shown in the Orlando Museum of Art and the Winter Park Arts Festival.
